PrivatBank and Visa payment system announced the launch of FacePay24 biometric payment system in Ukraine, which will operate in the retail network. The first Ukrainian outlets where buyers can pay for products with “face” are four stores of the national HOP HEY network in Dnipro.

As PrivatBank Chairman of the Board Petr Krumhanzl announced during PrivatBank Innovation Day in Dnipro, the launch of this service, which was considered fantastic several years ago, was made possible by the integration of modern payment methods of Visa, technologies from Amazon Web Services with the updated Privat Bank mobile application Privat24. Keen participation in the project of the most innovative retail networks in Ukraine allowed to launch FacePay one of the first in Europe.

"Most of you probably don't even have a wallet with you now, because all the cards are in your smartphone. We are moving forward today and launching technology that even lets you forget your phone at home, ”said Peter Krumhansl. - The joint project of PrivatBank and Visa became the first in Ukraine to launch biometric payment for retail purchases. With the updated Privat24 platform, this opportunity is available to all PrivatBank clients and any offline and online retailer. ”

To use the face-to-face payment service, you must install the updated Privat24 app on your smartphone and activate FacePay24 payment. Then, following the tips of the program, you need to take three Selfies from different angles and attach a Visa bank card to your face. You can then pay for your purchases by looking at the tablet's special camera near the cash desk.
