How to get the test API keys?

Switch on the test mode in the LiqPay Business Profile. You can get the keys on the home page - “Get test API keys”.
With these keys you can make test payments. Key examples:

How can I check if a refund is successful?

You can do it in the Business Profile. For this you should:

Step 1. Find a payment:

  • by its ID: use the search;
  • via the menu: “All Payments” → “Payments” → “Payment History”.

Step 2: Click on the payment to display its status.

The Reversed status means a successful refund to  a payer's card.

How to get a refund receipt?

Currently, we do not provide such receipts. The service is expected to be implemented in the near future.

How to send a payment receipt?

Go to the LiqPay Business Profile, find the payment in the menu: “All Payments” → “Payments” → “Payment History”.
Open the transaction and the “Send Receipt” button will pop up.

What money is used for a refund?

LiqPay has 2 refund schemes:
1. Using future payments.
The refund will be made when the amount of new disbursements equals the refund amount.
2. From a company account opened with PrivatBank.
The refund is made within an hour.

Can I return a payment?

Yes, you can return either the full payment amount or its part.
The operation is available in the Personal Profile interface and in the public API Refund.
In the Personal Profile, find the payment via the menu: “All Payments” → “Payments” → “Payment History”. Open the payment, click “Refund”.

How can I check the payment status?

You can do it in the Business Profile. For this you should:

  • by its ID: use the search;

Can individuals accept payments via LiqPay?

Individuals can accept payments only to the current account of individual entrepreneurs. If needed, we can request documents on permission to sell products and services posted on your site.

What is the difference between Personal Profile and Business Profile?

In the Personal Profile you can make payments by a card number or a phone number, and view payment history.

In the Business Profile you can:

  • Connect merchants to accept payments;
  • customize design of a checkout page;
  • view the history of accepted payments;
  • view payment analytics;
  • issue an invoice;
  • generate a QR code to accept payments.

How secure is it to use the LiqPay web-interface?

LiqPay is trusted and secure. It is certified by PCI DSS, Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode.
Payments via LiqPay are made in three stages:
1. When a payment is made, a user enters card details: card number, expiry date and CVV.
2. A transaction is confirmed by entering a one-time SMS password which is sent to the user’s mobile phone.
3. The transaction is also confirmed by the 3-D Secure – the technology used for entering an additional security password to make the payment.

How to get live API keys?

In your LiqPay Business Profile, switch on the  operating mode. You can get the keys on the home page - “Get Live API Keys”.
Using these keys, you can make  real payments. Key examples:

What is LiqPay?

LiqPay is a modern payment solution from PrivatBank.
With LiqPay customers can pay for products and services via Mastercard/VISA/UnionPay/”Prostir”. Payments can be made from:

  • your website;
  • your page in social networks;
  • in Telegram/Viber;
  • in the LiqPay mobile app.

 

 Moreover, with LiqPay you can receive payments from microfinance institutions and insurance companies, or send card-to-card money transfers.

How to configure the API to accept payments on my website?

LiqPay provides merchants with a wide range of public API for payment acceptance. To accept payments you can use a ready-made html widget which is in the “Settings”→ “Checkout” → “Widget”, or you can set up a public API.
The public API are available for use right after you register your store in LiqPay.
To activate the feature of using the private API, you should make a request for the connection in the part of API documentation you are interested in. We will provide the response within 48 hours.

In what countries can the internet acquiring LiqPay be connected?

Payments can be accepted via the LiqPay by entrepreneurs and legal entities registered in the territory of Ukraine.

Can I accept payments to a current account of another bank?

Yes, you can accept payments to an account of another bank:

  • money is credited once a day;
  • money is refunded to payers at the expense of future payments.
     

Can I accept payments to an account in foreign currency?

No. The restriction is regulated by  the Law of Ukraine “On Payment Systems and Money Transfer in Ukraine” No. 2346-III dated April 5, 2001.

Within what time are the funds credited to the store’s current account after the successful payment?

To PrivatBank accounts the funds are credited instantly in the 24/7 mode. To accounts of other banks, funds are credited pursuant to banks’ regulations, usually within 1–3 days.

How to start accepting payments on my web-site?

To start accepting payments on your web-site, you should register your store in LiqPay.

Do I need to enter into a separate agreement for the payment acceptance?

No. When you register your store, you must accept the “Terms & Conditions for Provision of Services in the LiqPay System”.

Frequently Asked Questions for payers

How to authorize in LiqPay?

Go to the https://www.liqpay.ua/uk/adminpersonal/ page, enter the phone number assigned to your card. Then confirm signing in to your profile by entering the SMS password which will be sent to the indicated phone number. You can also confirm authorization in the Privat24 app.

How to check the payment status?

In the menu, go to History, select a date on the calendar, then select the payment from the list.
Successful payments are marked green, unsuccessful  are red.

How to get a receipt?

Open a payment in the History menu. Then click “Send Receipt” and indicate the email  to which the receipt will be sent.

How to add a card?

To add a card to your personal Profile you should:
1) go to the menu: “Wallet” → “Add Card”;
2) enter the card details.
Upon the confirmation, the card will be displayed in the “Wallet”.

You can add a card confirming the 3-D Secure technology. When the card is added, you will be charged UAH 1, it will be refunded within 30 days.

Money transfers by phone number

You can also send payments in LiqPay by entering a payee’s phone number. For a successful transfer, the payee should add his/her card to the “Wallet”.
If the card is not added to the “Wallet”, money will be automatically returned to the payer’s card in 7 days.

Card-to-card money transfers

By card number, you can make a payment зfrom a PrivatBank to a Visa/Mastercard card of any bank worldwide and vice versa.

Limits for card-to-card (P2P)transfers

The total amount of transfers for a payer:

  • UAH 29,999 per day;
  • UAH 89,999 per month.

You can transfer up to UAH 799,999 per week and up to UAH 3,199,999 per month from cards of other banks to a PrivatBank card.

How to return a payment?

To return a payment and to get information about the status of your order, please contact the payee and show your payment receipt.
The receipt will contain the site where the payment was made. Information about the website can be found by opening the payment in the History menu.
