PrivatBank continues to support the Ukrainian economy with confidence. Since the beginning of the year, the bank's loan portfolio has increased by 18.4%, exceeding UAH 108.99 billion as of the end of September. During the third quarter, the bank maintained the achieved level of business activity, despite the pressure of the electricity deficit on the population and business. PrivatBank not only developed existing credit programs for the population, small and medium-sized businesses, and corporate clients, but also focused its efforts on supporting energy independence, food security, and export industries. The bank was one of the first to support government initiatives for lending to alternative energy generation, joined the "National Cashback" program, which promotes demand for domestic goods.
According to the results of the nine months of 2024, the bank's pre-tax profit reached UAH 64.01 billion, and the net profit was UAH 48.35 billion (+11.5% y/y). Such financial results have become possible thanks to the trust of clients, as well as an efficient business model that allows for stable generation of net commission and interest income. Even in the face of significant challenges, funds in customer accounts remain stable, and the number of active customers is growing.
The high quality of the credit portfolio facilitates almost zero costs for the formation of additional reserves to cover credit risks. Operating costs remain under close management control. According to the results of the nine months of 2024, they increased by only 4.8% compared to the same period last year, which is significantly lower than the inflation rate. Since the beginning of the year, PrivatBank transferred UAH 167.06 million to charity, which was aimed at helping hospitals and medical institutions, strengthening the country's defense capabilities, social projects, as well as supporting employees.
