Active financial support for the economy and business continues to top PrivatBank's priorities during wartime this year. In the first six months of 2024, PrivatBank's total net loans exceeded 102 billion UAH, marking an all-time record in the bank's history and within the Ukrainian market. Overall, compared to the first half of 2023, PrivatBank's loan portfolios for businesses and individuals increased by 26.2 billion UAH (34%).

"Today, despite challenges such as shelling and energy disruptions, providing banking loans to businesses and individuals remains a crucial prerequisite for the stability and development of Ukraine’s economy," said Gerhard Boesch, Chairman of the Management Board at PrivatBank. "Since the beginning of the year, we have actively extended loans not only to individuals and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises but also expanded credit programs for corporate customers and large businesses across all regions of the country. We place special emphasis on supporting enterprises in frontline areas and financing populations and businesses under alternative energy generation programs."

Thanks to the strategic priority placed on customer centricity, customer funds in UAH accounts at PrivatBank have increased by over 30 billion UAH (8%) since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, the share of fixed-term deposits remains stable despite the trend of decreasing deposit interest rates. Compared to the first half of the previous year, client funds in UAH accounts have grown by nearly 70 billion UAH (20%).

By the results of the first half of 2024, PrivatBank achieved a net profit of 30.6 billion UAH, which is 3% higher than in the same period last year. At the same time, the bank's financial result before taxation amounted to 40.7 billion UAH, which is 11% higher than in the first half of 2023.

The high quality of the credit portfolio results in almost zero expenses for forming additional reserves to cover credit risks. Operational expenses for the first six months of 2024 increased by only 2% compared to the same period last year, significantly below the inflation rate. In the first half of the year, PrivatBank transferred UAH 90.6 million to charity, which was directed to programs to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, aid to hospitals and medical facilities, social projects, assistance to employees, and the construction of shelters in the Kharkiv region.
