What is the formula for calculating the interest on the “Universal Gold” card?
The interest on the card is calculated for each calendar day of availing the credit funds, using the following formula:
The sum of debt * number of days when the funds are availed * 3,4% * 12 / 365,
Where:
• 365 is a constant value (number of days in one year);
• 3,4% is a constant value (monthly interest rate according to the tariffs);
• 12 is a constant value (number of months in one year).
The calculations shall be made individually for each customer transaction, which will result in changes in the sum of debt. The interest will be accrued on the last day of the month after the expiration of the grace period. When calculating the interest, the figures placed after the second decimal digit shall be discarded.
For example: on the 1st of January you did not have any debt on the “Universal Gold” card. On the 3rd of January you purchased some goods in a store and paid UAH 1 000 with the “Universal Gold” card, on the 5th of February you purchased goods and paid UAH 500, and on the 20th of February you put only UAH 100 on this card.

For availing the credit funds beyond the grace period there is a really favorable interest rate – just 3,4% per month (from the first of August, 2020).
When the interest for availing credit funds on the “Universal Gold” card should be paid?
If you do not repay the sum of your debt in full until the 25th day of the previous month, the grace period shall not be applied, and the interest will be accrued for the whole sum of debt from the initial date of availing credit funds. The grace period will not extend to new expenses until all of the debt is repaid in full.
For example: on the 3rd of January you purchased some goods in a store and paid UAH 1 000 with the “Universal Gold” card, and on the 5th of February you purchased goods and paid another UAH 500 with the same card, and on the 20th of February you put only UAH 100 on this card. The grace period, in this case, shall not be applied, and the interest will be accrued for the whole sum of the debt from the initial date of availing the credit funds.
